Privacy Policy
SCOPE
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Data Tool Builders LLC ("we," "us," or "our") treats personal information collected on puredocs.com, where this Policy is located (the "Platform"). This Policy applies to information that we collect directly from you through the Platform.
This Platform is operated in the United States and intended for use by individuals who are located in the United States.
TYPES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information from you and about you. Here are some examples of the information we may collect:
Contact Information. For example, we may collect your name and email address. Your email address is also used to sign you in to the Platform with one-time codes.
Purchase and Billing Information. We may collect your billing details and transaction history. Card payments are handled by PCI-compliant payment processors; your full card number is tokenised and processed securely and is never stored on our own servers.
Information You Submit. We may collect the details you enter into the Platform in order to use it and to generate your results or documents, and information you send us through support or contact features.
Device Information. For example, we may collect the type of device and browser you use to access our Platform, your device identifier, IP address and operating system.
Location Information. We may collect information relating to your general location based on your IP address.
Other Information. We might look at what site you came from, what site you visit when you leave us, and how you use the Platform.
HOW WE COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION
Directly From You. For example, when you create an account, make a purchase, use the Platform's features or submit an inquiry to us.
Passively. For example, when you visit and navigate our Platform on any device. We may also collect information about users over time and across different devices when you use the Platform.
From Third Parties. We may receive information about you from other sources, for example our payment processors (such as confirmation that a payment succeeded) and analytics vendors.
By Combining Information. For example, we may combine information we collect about you from the different devices you use to access our Platform.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
To Provide the Platform. To sign you in, generate your outputs, operate your account and deliver the products and services you purchase.
To Process Payments. To process payments, manage subscriptions and renewals, and send you transactional messages such as sign-in codes, order confirmations and billing notices.
To Respond to Your Requests or Questions. Including support requests sent to [email protected] and responding to your feedback.
For Marketing Purposes. We may provide you with information about our products and offers. For more information about your choices related to these communications, see the Choices section below.
For Security Purposes. Including protecting our company and our users, securing the Platform, and preventing fraud and abuse.
To Run and Improve Our Platform and Business. Including using aggregated or de-identified usage information to make the Platform better.
As Otherwise Permitted By Law or As We May Notify You.
As Requested or Directed By You.
HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
Internally. We may share your information with our parent, subsidiary, and affiliate entities.
With Our Service Providers. We may share your information with third parties who perform services on our behalf — for example payment processing and card vaulting, email delivery, hosting and infrastructure, and analytics — only to the extent needed for them to perform those functions.
With Our Advertising and Analytics Partners. We may share limited information with advertising networks, analytics vendors and advertising service providers for the purposes described in this Policy, for example to measure the performance of our advertising.
With Any Successors to All or Part of Our Business. For example, if we merge with, are acquired by, or sell part of our business to another entity, including as part of an asset sale, corporate reorganization or other change of control, in which case this Policy will continue to apply to your information.
To Comply With the Law or To Protect Ourselves. For example, responding to a court order or subpoena, a request from a government agency or investigatory body, or when we are investigating potential fraud.
As Requested or Directed By You.
CHILDREN
The Platform is meant for adults, and you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use it. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable data from persons under the age of 13, and we strive to comply with the provisions of COPPA (the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). If you are a parent or legal guardian and think your child has provided us with information, please contact us at [email protected] or write to us at the address listed at the end of this Policy, marking your inquiry "COPPA Information Request."
CHOICES REGARDING YOUR INFORMATION
You have certain choices about how we use your information. Certain choices you make are browser and device specific.
Marketing Communications. You can opt out of receiving our marketing communications at any time. Note that you will still receive transactional messages from us, including sign-in codes, information about your account and purchases, and responses to your inquiries.
Cookies & Other Tracking Technologies.
Cookies: certain cookies are necessary for the Platform to function — keeping you signed in, remembering your session and protecting against cross-site request forgery. You can adjust your browser to control cookies, including requiring your affirmative acceptance of new cookies, automatically rejecting cookies, and deleting or disabling existing cookies. Note that deleting or blocking cookies may impact your experience, as some features may not be available.
Analytics: we may use analytics services such as Google Analytics to help us understand how you use the Platform. You can learn how to opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Advertising: we may use advertising cookies and pixels (for example from Facebook or Google) to measure and improve our advertising. You can manage targeted-advertising preferences through those platforms' settings and through your browser.
Our Do Not Track Policy. Some browsers have "do not track" features that allow you to tell a website not to track you. These features are not all uniform, and we do not currently respond to those signals. If you block cookies, certain features on the Platform may not work, and not all of the tracking described here will stop.
SECURITY
The Internet is not 100% secure, and we cannot promise that your use of our Platform will be completely safe. However, we employ SSL encryption to help secure the transmission of your information, sensitive data is stored encrypted, and card data is handled by PCI-compliant payment processors. We use reasonable means to safeguard personal information under our control. Access to your account is controlled by one-time codes sent to your email address; it is your responsibility to protect access to that email account.
STORAGE OF INFORMATION
Information we maintain may be stored in or outside the United States. If you live outside the United States, you understand and agree that we may transfer your personal information to the United States. This Platform is intended for use in the United States and is subject to the laws of the United States, which may not provide the same level of protections as those in your own country.
RETENTION
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, and afterwards for as long as required for legitimate business or legal purposes — for example, transaction records retained to meet tax, accounting and anti-fraud obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
LINKS
Our Platform may contain links to other third-party sites that are not governed by this Policy. If you click on a link to a third-party site, you will be taken to a site we do not control. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites, and we suggest that you read their privacy policies carefully.
YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] — we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, and we will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
